Lebanon Pilgrimage: Ancient Monasteries and Modern Saints
September 16-24, 2023

COME WITH US INTO THE HEART OF THE CHURCH

The spiritual dimension – the search for a deeper understanding of God and a better appreciation of the history and life of the Church – is the focus of our unique pilgrimages.  Join us as we encounter the “living stones” that build up the universal Church.

WHY PILGRIMAGE?

“To go on pilgrimage really means to step out of ourselves in order to encounter God…where His grace has shone with particular splendor…”
– Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI

Setting out on pilgrimage is a time-honored and sacred tradition that has been practiced throughout history. Whether journeying to England to pray in communion with the great Saints and Martyrs, traveling to Rome to venture into the heart of the Church, or voyaging to Jerusalem to walk in the footsteps of Our Lord on Calvary as He embraced His cross, pilgrims throughout the centuries have traversed the same time-worn paths to grow closer to God, and to each other.

Like the pilgrims of old, we invite you to join us on an extraordinary adventure of spiritual renewal! Gain a deeper understanding and insight into the Faith as we actively work toward our ultimate goal of embracing the highest and most holy things for ourselves and those who come after us.

Our Urbi et Orbi pilgrimages especially focus on bringing our pilgrims to the sacred — the mysteries of both East and West – not just visiting the holy places of our Faith but the people who embody it. Our Pilgrims have stayed in the Vatican guest houses, have had audiences with the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew in the Phanar in Istanbul, and met with Dicasteries of the Moscow Patriarchate.

We plan our next “Building Bridges Pilgrimage” to feature Rome, Romania (being the second largest of the Orthodox churches), and Moscow. In particular, we plan to spend time in prayer at Butovo outside of Moscow, where thousands were buried who opposed the Soviet regime  — including the approximately one thousand martyrs who were killed because of their refusal to put the State above the Faith. In prayer and encounter, we build bridges. Contact us to get more information.

Travel with us as we encounter the face of Christ in the people we meet, and in each other.
