Prayer for Concord and Unity among the Faithful
Our Lord and our God, to Thee, united by the most strong and sincere fraternal love, we offer our hearts; we pray that Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament may be our daily food for body and soul, that Jesus may be the central object of our love, as was that of Mary and Joseph; and lastly, we pray that sin may never disturb our union in Thy Mystical Body on earth, that union which will endure with Thee, Mary, and Joseph, and all the Saints, forever in Heaven. Amen.
Heavenly Father, Your blessed Son asked that His Church be one|
as You and He are one,
but Christians have not been united as He prayed.
We have isolated ourselves from each other
and have failed to listen to each other.
We have misunderstood and ridiculed
and even gone so far as to attack each other.
In doing so we have offended against You,
against all our brothers and sisters in the Church
and against all who have not believed in You
because of our scandalous disunity.
Forgive us Father,
and make us fully one.
Blot out our sins,
renew our minds,
rekindle our hearts,
and guide us by Your Holy Spirit
into the oneness that is Your Will.

Let us pray
for all our brothers and sisters
who share our faith in Jesus Christ,
that God may gather and keep together in one Church
all those who seek the truth with sincerity.
Almighty and eternal God,
you keep together those you have united.
Look kindly on all who follow Jesus your Son.
We are all consecrated to you by our common baptism.
Make us one in the fullness of faith,

O God the Abba of our Lord Jesus Christ, our only Savior, the Prince of Peace: give us grace seriously to lay to heart the great dangers we are in by our unhappy division; take away all hatred and prejudice, and whatever else may hinder us from godly union and concord; that, as there is but one Body and one Spirit, one hope of our calling, one Lord, one Faith, one Baptism, one God and Creator of us all, so we may be all of one heart and of one soul, united in one holy bond of truth and peace, of faith and charity, and may with one mind and mouth glorify you; through Jesus Christ our Savior. To Our Lady for Christian Unity
Spouse of the Holy Spirit and Seat of Wisdom, help us
in the great endeavor that we are carrying out to meet
on a more and more mature way our brothers and sisters
in the faith, with whom so many things unite us,
although there is still something dividing us. Through
all the means of knowledge, of mutual respect, of love,
shared collaboration in various fields, may we be able to
rediscover gradually the divine plan for the unity in
which we should enter. Mother of unity, teach us
constantly the ways that lead to unity.
Allow us in the future to go out to meet human beings
and all the peoples that are seeking God and wishing to
serve him on the way of different religions. Help us all
to proclaim Christ.
Mother of Good Counsel, show us always how we are to
serve the individual and humanity in every nation, how
we are to lead them along the ways of salvation. How
we are to protect justice and peace in a world
continually threatened on various sides. Let us entrust
to you all the difficult problems of the societies,
systems, and states–problems that cannot be solved
with hatred, war and self-destruction but only by peace,
justice, and respect for the rights of people and nations.
